DHANU YATRA FESTIVAL TOUR (JAN/FEB)

Dhanu Yatra relating to the episode of Lord Krishna’s visit to Mathura to witness the
ceremony of the bow is colorfully observed at Bargarh during (Dec-Jan).The town of
Bargarh becomes Mathura, the Jira becomes the Yamuna and the village Ambapalli on the
other bank of the river becomes Gopa. Different acts of the Puranic descriptions are
performed at their right places and spectators move from place to place with the actions
to see the performance. This is the best program for visitors who like to visit
unique festivals. This itinerary may be extended a few more days depending on the
visitor’s time as this festival is celebrated for a week.

ROUTING: BHUBANESWAR-BARAGARH-DHENKANAL-KONARK-PURI-BHUBANESWAR
DAY01: ARRIVAL AT BHUBANESWAR.

Reception upon arrival at Bhubaneswar and Later city tour of Bhubaneswar Tempels,
Caves and Museums. Overnight,

DAY02: BHUBANESWAR-BARAGARH

Morning proceeds to Baragarh. Enjoy Dhanu Yatra Festival. Overnight.

DAY03: BARAGARH

Enjoy Dhanu Yatra Festival. Overnight.

DAY04: BARAGARH-DHENKNAL

Morning proceed to Dhenkanal en route visiting few textile villages and Maa Samaleswari
Temple. Overnight.

DAY05: DHENKANAL-BHUBANESWAR

Proceed to Bhubaneswar and the city tour of Bhubaneswar. Overnight.

DAY06: BHUBANESWAR-KONARK-PURI-BHUBANESWAR.

Full-day Excursion to visit world heritage site sun temple of Konark and Lord Jagannath
Temple of Puri ( Only Hindu Entry allowed). Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

DAY07: DEPARTURE

Departure Transfer to Bhubaneswar airport/Railway station for the return journey.
