SOUTH INDIA (TAMILNADU)CULTURAL TOUR

DAY01: ARRIVAL AT CHENNAI
Reception upon arrival at Chennai, the cultural capital of South India, and transfer to
Hotel. Later city tour of Chennai visiting Visit Fort St. George, constructed in 1653 during
the British ruling period in India; St. Mary’s Church (the oldest Anglican Church in
India); Kapaliswara Temple and Sri Parthasarathy Temple built by Pallavas in the 8th
century AD. Evening relaxes at Marina Beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Morning proceeds to Mahabalipuram and later visit Temples of Mahabalipuram which
reflect Dravidian art and architect. Visit caves, Krishna Mandapam, Fiveraths, the
Shore Temple and Arjuna Penance. Evening Relax on the beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Morning proceeds to Pndicherry enroute visiting Kanchipuram. Upon arrival check-in and
Full day city tour of Pondicherry including Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville and Pondicherry
Museum. Overnight at Hotel.
Morning proceed to Tiruchirapalli and on arrival at Tiruchira Palli check in hotel. Later
proceed to see Grand Anaicut, a popular picnic spot, but must see the engineering work,
the only stone in the world, the 300m long Kalani Dam. Later visit the Rockfort
Temple, Ranganathswamy Temple, and Jambukeswar Temple. Overnight at Hotel.
Excursion to Thanjavur and Explore many old structures like Sri Brihadeswar Temple
, Mariamman Temple, Schwartz Church, and Sivagangi Garden. Back to Tiruchirapalli and Overnight.
Proceed to Rameswaram. After check-in hotel visit Ramanathaswamy Temple and
Proceed to Madurai and Explore Famous Meenakshi Temple. Also, visit Tirumalai Nayak
Mahal and Mariamman Teppakulam. Back to the hotel. Overnight.
Morning proceeds to Kanyakumari, the southernmost point of Indian Peninsular and meeting
place of Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean. It’s a Hindu Pilgrimage Centre
and a well-known place to see sunrise and sunset. The most important attraction of this
place is Swami Vivekananda Memorial, Kanyakumari Temple, Gandhi Memorial and Sun
Setpoint. Overnight at Hoel.
DAY10: KANYAKUMARI-TRIVANDRUM DEPARTURE.
Departure transfer to Trivandrum Airport / Railway Stations for onwards/ Return Journey.
